Lizz Hochstedler is currently based in The Hamptons, NY. Her work is versatile in various mediums including, oil painting, film photography, performance in short films, gifs, and motion graphics. She specializes in creating and editing short stop-motion videos. Lizz is passionate about using vibrant color pallets to express emotion, skin tones, light, and movement.
Lizz finds guidance and inspiration from artists such as Wes Anderson, Mikael Takacs, Wassily Kandinsky, and Jean-Michel Basquiat. Her inspiration develops deeper throughout her growing love for traveling. She is constantly finding creative outlets and inspirations through varieties of cultures, people, nature, and a nomadic lifestyle.
She has exhibited in The Hamptons, NY, and San Diego. The Long House 2016, Guild Hall 2016, and Point Loma Nazarene University, Keller Gallery in 2020. She has been awarded The Long House First Place for Young Artist 2016, Best Actress in Short Film 2019, and Best Short Film 2019.
